Covid-19 Protocols

New Policies for Your Safety

New policies have already been implemented. Details will be communicated to you when you book and confirm your appointment. Please ensure we have your current contact information. If your contact information has changed, please email us at info@parkhavendental.ca so that we may update you with regards to policy changes.
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE COVID SCREENING, BUT CALL OUR OFFICE INSTEAD TO INFORM OUR STAFF AND RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Cleaning and Sterilization

We have always adhered to the highest standard of sterilization and we will continue to have in place strict clinical standards and protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment. Additional measures have already been implemented such as additional cleaning of high touch common areas such as door handles and floors, removal of any commonly touched items in the clinical and waiting rooms areas and the use of additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like face shields and gowns. Plexiglass shields have been installed in the reception desk to further protect patients and staff. We also have a medical grade air filtration system in use called “Surgically Clean Air”, to disinfect airborne pathogens including the Coronavirus.

Social Distancing

We will have in place physical distancing measures that limit the number of patients in the office at any given time. We will be managing patient flow in the clinical and waiting areas to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the office.

Pre-Screening

All patients and parents that accompany their kids to their appointments will be pre-screened and may be required to complete a COVID-19 health questionnaire prior to their appointment as well as the day of arrival. Upon arrival there will be further screening by taking a forehead temperature and asking everyone entering to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask. All clinic staff are also being screened daily and are required to wear additional Personal Protective Equipment for all patient encounters.

Appointments

As soon as we have a firm reopening date for elective dental care, we will begin rescheduling elective dental appointments. Priority will be given to appointments that were suspended during our temporary closure. Appointments will be scheduled in a manner that allows us to adhere to public health guidelines and physical distancing. We really appreciate your patience and understanding and hope to see you soon!
